Using mathematical modeling and numerical analysis to understand and solve many diverse real-world problems, often involving partial differential equations, uncertainty and optimization. The group is investigating electromagnetic interrogation of dispersive and scattering media, magnetohydrodynamics, optimal control of plant viruses, and other applications.
