Professor Gibson, along with Professor Jichun Li, organized a minisymposium at the 10th International Congress on Industrial and Applied Mathematics at Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan on August 20-25, 2023. The session was entitled "Recent advances on computational wave propagation" and featured speakers from around the world including Wuhan University, School of Mathematics and Statistics; Delaware State University; Lawrence Berkeley National Lab; University of Houston; South China Normal University; Portland State University; Brigham Young University; Universidade Federal do Parana as well as our own alumnus Duncan McGregor now at Sandia National Laboratories.
